Man I would love to see your garden. Have you ever had clematis to just break off in the middle and die off? I know the stems are thin and I keep something shading the roots all the time. I think I have a good one going and first thing I know I see dead leaves and stems. QMM
I am in love with life. I love to garden--bringing beauty to my world, providing organic vegetables for my family of nine, and growing ancient herbs for healing. I also work for women to know and embrace themselves: bodies, health, relationships, family, spirit, living--creating a life of beauty and growth.
"Despite deer, shade, clay soil, and five kids, the Heirloom Gardener of Chatham, NJ, grows beautiful roses, tulips, dahlias, and more – and finds time to blog about it!"
"There are almost too many garden blogs to count these days. One to bookmark and read is Heirloom Gardener...[I]t is hard to believe the complexity of plants she manages to work into her less than a half acre zone 6b plot...This is a blog for every serious gardener who aspires to garden at a higher level."

Your Clematis are looking great this year. Mine aren't having a great season at all. I'll just have to enjoy your blooms! :)
What delicate blooms on this Clematis. Very sweet.
