I am in love with life. I love to garden--bringing beauty to my world, providing organic vegetables for my family of nine, and growing ancient herbs for healing. I also work for women to know and embrace themselves: bodies, health, relationships, family, spirit, living--creating a life of beauty and growth.
"Despite deer, shade, clay soil, and five kids, the Heirloom Gardener of Chatham, NJ, grows beautiful roses, tulips, dahlias, and more – and finds time to blog about it!"
"There are almost too many garden blogs to count these days. One to bookmark and read is Heirloom Gardener...[I]t is hard to believe the complexity of plants she manages to work into her less than a half acre zone 6b plot...This is a blog for every serious gardener who aspires to garden at a higher level."

1914? I don't much about roses... does that make her an antique?
Congrats on your 'best New Jersey blog' award.

Meems,
Yes, thank you. 1914 indicates it is an antique or heirloom rose. I also grow modern roses, but put the dates on them when I remember them.
