A lovely representation of spring flowers. What is the tree blooming yellow in first photo?

Dear Frances,
The first yellow tree blooming is a Cornelian Cherry dogwood. I love its elegance and grace in shaded areas. I did not plant it; it was a gift from nature.

It's interesting that your zone 6 garden is not that far ahead of my zone 5 garden.

And isn't nice when nature gives a plant we love, now and again, like the Cornelian Cherry dogwood.

Thanks for joining in for bloom day.

Very fine pictures of spring day.
What is it on the second last pictures?
Is it evergreen?
regards Ken

Piondrom,

The second to last picture is an evergreen andromeda shrub - pieris japonica.
