I fell in love with gardening about ten years ago on a small urban plot in Brooklyn Heights and now indulge this passion in Chatham, New Jersey (zone 6b). My garden is on a sloped less-than-half an acre and includes a Cutting Garden, a Rose Garden, a Children's Garden, and several mixed borders. Outside of the garden, I am a full-time mother of five. Contact me or ask me questions at heirloomgardener[at]aol[dot]com.
"Despite deer, shade, clay soil, and five kids, the Heirloom Gardener of Chatham, NJ, grows beautiful roses, tulips, dahlias, and more – and finds time to blog about it!"
"There are almost too many garden blogs to count these days. One to bookmark and read is Heirloom Gardener...[I]t is hard to believe the complexity of plants she manages to work into her less than a half acre zone 6b plot...This is a blog for every serious gardener who aspires to garden at a higher level."
