What winter storage "method" do you use for dahlias, cannas, etc.? I've experimented with several ways and am still searching for the perfect solution .... Many thx, Jan
I should write a post about this. After the first hard frost, I dig them up, clean them off and dry them in the sun for about two days. Then, I write the name of the dahlia on the actual tuber. Then I store them in individual plastic containers with peet moss. I write the name of the dahlia on the outside of the container too.
I guess you have to dig up the dahlias in the winter? They are pretty,,,,,but I forget about digging them up.
ReplyDeleteJanet,
ReplyDeleteYes, I do have to dig them up here in NJ.
